Volunteer Roles

Aid station5

Aid Station Crew

Based at one of the multiple aid stations on course, you'll be working as a team of volunteers to provide hydration to runners. We suggest you pick a location near to your home for easy transport access. Great role if you have a group of friends and all want to be in the same place.

Athlete Transport Assistant/Bag Drop Collection

Ideal for early birds. This role involves assisting athletes onto correct start line buses. Once all the athletes have departed you will move into the Bag Drop Collection Assistant role, with time for a quick coffee in between!

Bag Drop Collection Assistant

Assisting in the Peter Lehmann Venue with the organisation and distribution of the athletes bags back to their owners.

Course Marshal

Assisting athletes with directions and encouragement on course, keep public safe, provide event information and assist with limiting public being on the course. We suggest you pick a location near to your home for easy transport access. Great role if you have a group of friends and all want to be in the same place.

General Assistant

You'll be assisting in either the operations or administration department. This generally is an inside job.

Happy with Anything

You're keen to be involved and are happy to go wherever we need you most. Thank you for your flexibility.

Info Desk Assistant

The info desk is the initial face of the event for all athletes, volunteers and public. We need friendly people, who enjoy meeting and helping people to ensure they have an awesome event experience.

Media Assistant

Social Media Assistant

We are looking for a range of social media savvy volunteers to help us with our social media engagement throughout the weekend to engage with our audience on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

On Course Entertainer

We are looking for a range of buskers/entertainers to help entertain and motivate runners on course in their hour of need! Perfect for anyone who enjoys being in the limelight and entertaining others with singing, dancing or general funny antics.

Assisting with all aspects of prize-giving, including set-up and prize giving itself, to ensure it runs smoothly.

Finish Line & Recovery Assistant

Assisting athletes as they come through the finish, presenting their medal, handing out water and providing support to the athletes.

Registration Assistant

Start Line Assistant

Either pre-event and race day roles. Involves all aspects of set up of each of the three start lines infrastructure, branding and signage. This is physical active work. On race day, it's an early start for a very important role, working in a team at one of the two start lines (10km or Half/ Full). Roles include assisting with final set-up and pack down, signage, info desk, car parking attendants, car/ bus drop off and athlete bag drop. Pick a location near to your home for easy transport access. Great role if you have a group of friends and all want to be in the same place.
